⭐️Tech Training: Google’s CODE NEXT.

Overview: Are you a high school student interested in preparing for a future in tech? Google's Code Next program aims to cultivate the next generation of Black, Latinx, and Indigenous tech leaders by training high school students in programming- web development, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship. Code Next students learn through physical labs or affiliate partners, engage in solo and team projects, and develop into confident and effective leaders.

  • Eligibility: Students in 9th-12th grade, aged 13 and above in the USA, can apply. The program strongly encourages applications from Black, Latinx, and Indigenous students. You don't need any prior coding experience. Students should live near the lab they apply to for the in-person program.

⭐️Tech/Career Training: ALX Pathway Program.

Overview: This Pathway Program is also for High School students interested in the tech field. ALX has announced the new Pathway Programme, providing high school graduates with exclusive access to a network of global university partners and scholarship opportunities. This program is designed to help students take their next step towards a successful career in tech by offering mentorship, career guidance, and access to state-of-the-art tech hubs.

  • Eligibility: Applicants must be recent high school graduates of African origin and proficient in English. They must be able to commit 50 hours per week to the Pathway Foundations course, which lasts for 8 months. Additionally, participants must reside in one of the eight ALX Hub cities (in Africa) and have access to a laptop or desktop computer with a stable internet connection.

  • Fees: For early applications, an access fee of $20 is required. This fee can be paid in full upfront or four monthly instalments of $5 each. This fee covers access to the ALX ecosystem and the Pathway Foundations course. Note that partner university eligibility and associated fee requirements may also apply.

  • Deadline: .Early applications: July 12 - July 24, 2024. The program starts on October 21, 2024. Regular applications will open on August 1, 2024.

⭐️Scholarship Program: Rhodes Trust Scholarship.

Overview: If you are interested in scholarship opportunities, the Rhodes Trust offers Scholarships to the University of Oxford each year, allowing eligible candidates from any country not already connected to a Rhodes Scholarship constituency to apply. These scholarships are for outstanding young leaders committed to addressing global challenges and promoting international understanding and peace.

  • Eligibility: Candidates must have completed or will complete an undergraduate degree by July 2025, meeting the entry requirements for their chosen course at Oxford. Additionally, they must have a sufficiently high standard of English to meet Oxford's proficiency requirements. Check the website for other eligibility requirements.

  • Amount: The Rhodes Scholarship covers University and College fees, a living stipend of £19,092 per annum for the academic year 2023-24, a settling-in allowance, health insurance, visa costs, and two economy class flights to and from the UK. The scholarship is tenable for up to two years, subject to satisfactory academic performance and personal conduct.

⭐️ Apprenticeship Program: Intel Manufacturing Facility Technician Apprenticeship Program.

Overview: Intel has just launched its first U.S. apprenticeship program for manufacturing facility technicians in Arizona. The program’s purpose is to provide hands-on training to apprentices over the next five years, in partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority, the Phoenix Business and Workforce Development Board, and other notable organizations. Participants will be full-time Intel employees from day one, earning both a certificate and college credit upon completing the one-year program.

  • Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a GED certificate or equivalent work experience.

⭐️Apprenticeship Program: NABLF Technology Apprenticeship Program (TAP).

Overview: The NAB Leadership Foundation (NABLF) is offering an exciting Technology Apprenticeship Program (TAP) for students passionate about engineering, information systems, and emerging broadcasting technologies. It includes AWS cloud-based instruction, hands-on training, and mentorship from industry experts. Participants will also gain paid internships at local stations and opportunities to connect with broadcast professionals nationwide.

  • Eligibility: Applicants must be 18 years or older, pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree, or attending technical school with a focus on electrical engineering, software development, IT, cybersecurity, or data science/analytics. You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

⭐️Internship Program: TikTok Product Designer Internship Program Fall 2024.

Overview: If you are interested in a Product Designer career, TikTok, the leading destination for short-form mobile videos, is offering a Product Designer internship for Fall 2024. Interns will gain hands-on experience while working on projects that inspire creativity and bring joy. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, assist in design projects from strategy to launch, create user flows and prototypes, and participate in workshops.

  • Eligibility: Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor, Master, or PhD in product design-related majors such as product interaction design or human-computer interaction. Passion for TikTok and its community is essential. Check the website for other requirements.

  • Salary: $28.5/hour - $47.5/hour. Full-time interns receive 100% premium coverage for medical insurance after 90 days. Additional benefits include paid holidays, paid sick leave, mental and emotional health benefits.
