The Future of Jobs Report by WEF, link

Welcome back & happy March! 🌸 We’re officially crawling out of the Q1 seasonal slump—longer days, slightly warmer vibes, and the distant hope of not wearing five layers are finally on the horizon. Thank God.

Speaking of Q1, the World Economic Forum recently dropped its Future of Jobs Report, and there’s a lot to unpack. Here’s what you need to know about how AI is changing the workforce…

🔹 AI, big data, and cybersecurity are leading the pack when it comes to the most in-demand skills. If you can work with AI rather than against it, you’re in a good spot.

🔹 Tech isn’t everything—human skills still matter. Employers are prioritizing creative thinking, adaptability, and resilience just as much as technical know-how. The ability to pivot and problem-solve is what will keep you relevant.

🔹 Not all skills are future-proof. Manual dexterity, endurance, and precision are on the decline, with 24% of employers saying they’ll matter less. In other words, automation is catching up fast.

🔹 The upskilling gap is real. If the global workforce were just 100 people, 59 would need reskilling by 2030. While many will have opportunities to grow within their roles, 11 won’t get the training they need, putting their job security at risk.

The bottom line is AI isn’t taking all the jobs, but it is changing them. So the best move is to stay adaptable, keep learning, and make sure your skills match where the world is headed.
