Overview: Pinterest’s Apprentice Engineer program is open for professionals from non-tech backgrounds and others who may face barriers to entering the industry. The apprenticeship can last up to one year and includes the opportunity to be considered for conversion into a full-time Engineer role.

šŸ” Here's what you need to know:

  • Who It’s For: Professionals from non-tech backgrounds, including coding bootcamp grads, self-taught candidates, and people without a related degree or prior engineering experience. Applicants should have proficiency in at least one programming language, and students currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program are not eligible.

  • What You’ll Get: The chance to work alongside Pinterest engineers and cross-functional teams on a high-impact project, plus mentorship and learning and development opportunities.

  • Location: San Francisco / Remote. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States, and the role is not eligible for relocation assistance.

  • Deadline: Applications may close as early as Friday, March 27, 2026 at 5:00 PM PDT. The program start date is Monday, July 27, 2026.

  • Compensation: $9,350–$11,000 per month for U.S.-based applicants.
